Pure is the debut EP by The Jesus Lizard, released in 1989. The cover artwork was by bassist David Wm. Sims. This is the only record by the Jesus Lizard recorded with a drum machine. Drummer Mac McNeilly was added to the group soon after it was recorded. This probably isnt the Jesus Lizards best unit, as others stated, it was their first ep and didnt have a real drummer (Big Black never did either, but that was kind of their method) but I have to say that I would get this for the cover alone. You have to admit maybe that this is one of the most wonderful nude pictures ever Turn your porn off and just stare at this artwork. There I said it. Oh, the music is still decent, though their later LPs maybe better.
